Team Leidos, which includes Kuehne+Nagel as the Storage, Distribution and Freight Delivery Partner, took over the MoD's Logistics Commodities Services Operation in August 2015. In order to support the MoD Contract and other opportunities within the public sector, the Kuehne+Nagel Military and Government Business Unit was set up within the UK Contract Logistics Division.

The LCC Transport Planner executes first-class services (e.g. transport management and requests & deviation management) according to joint and contractual agreements made with the customer. The LCC Transport Planner ensures daily execution of the services in scope and interacts with relevant counterparts of the involved parties for all services in scope.

The role will be performed in the LCC (Logistics Control Centre) in Donnington as an integral part of the Control Tower team. The LCC Transport Planner is required to start in the position already in the implementation phase, prior to Go Live. During this phase, implementation support is going to be key. The individual will learn in depth about the role, services and processes through involvement and performing system testing and work instructions creation.

Our ideal candidate will have:
* Transport/planning knowledge and experience (preferred)
* Experience of Transport Management Systems (Would be an advantage)
* Good proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office
* Flexible working approach (may include shift patterns such as weekend and out of hours cover)
* Ability to understand and execute new processes
* Confidence in working with accounts and figures
* Ability to fulfil time-critical tasks, keep schedules and deadlines
* Undergo security vetting in accordance with government policies
