Trainee IFA Administrator - Manchester

up to £22,000 plus company benefits, negotiable depending on experience

MBF Recruitment are currently working with one of the North-West's leading Chartered Financial Planning organisations, a client who we have had a trusted relationship with for many years. They are looking to recruit a Trainee IFA Administrator for their team in central Manchester.

This is a fantastic, entry level opportunity to start a career in the financial planning sector, working for a company who have had success in developing and progressing talented individuals within their team.

The company has big growth plans, looking to double their numbers over the next 5 years. That growth will create opportunities for progression within the business, and the company will be happy to support your development as well as any progression towards professional studies (such as Diploma Financial Planning).

The role:

  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and taking messages where appropriate
  • Filing and keeping the front office and meeting rooms presentable and tidy
  • Opening, recording and distributing incoming post, franking and posting outgoing mail
  • Arranging appointments for Advisers
  • Uploading client data to the back-office system, this will mainly be from statements & fact finds
  • Monitoring and ordering stationery as required
  • Matching commission payments in the back-office system
  • Training can be provided on all of the above

Requirements:

  • Candidates should ideally be looking for their first or second opportunity to work in financial services
  • Those with 3-12 months experience of working in an office environment would be preferred, but Graduates fresh out of university will also be considered
  • Candidates MUST have a keen interest in financial services, ideally with knowledge of the financial planning or wealth management sector
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ideally candidates will be Graduates, though a strong educational background without a Degree will also be considered
