Trainee Broker - Title Insurance

A well-established Broker in West Sussex, are expanding their team and are looking for a Law Graduate to join them as a Trainee Broker.

This position would suit someone who has recently graduated and is interested in a career in Insurance that utilises their degree, or a Law graduate Conveyancer or Paralegal looking for something a bit different that still utilises their skills.

Title Insurance is a niche product within the insurance industry and can be technical and very varied - no one policy is the same.

As one of our Legal Insurance Brokers, you would be responsible for:

You will be fully trained on the delivery of high quality customer service in respect of various specialist insurance classes predominantly Legal Indemnity (Title) insurances.
Dealing with enquiries from Solicitors, Conveyancers, Surveyors and members of the public relating to those business classes
Broking of cases to insurers, liaising with insurers to obtain terms, broking and placement
Insurer liaison
Exercising delegated underwriting authority in accordance with Terms of Business Agreements with insurers
Assisting with business development including, inter-alia, contacting solicitors and conveyancing firms to promote us as their provider of specialist insurance
Provision of financial reports to insurers
Updating of relevant CRM databases
Maintain relevant knowledge of law and changes in law

Graduate (preferably in Law)
Well organised
Computer literacy
Financially astute
Enthusiastic and a good motivator
Approachable
Confident and effective communicator
