We are currently seeking an experienced Test Governance and Operations Lead to support a Test Management Office (TMO) function within a leading FMCG client’s major digital transformation project. The role involves managing test operations and governance to ensure efficient and effective delivery of testing services across S/4 HANA and other applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in E2E test delivery across various technology change and testing projects.
  • Strong advocacy for Test Governance and Frameworks to ensure effective and efficient testing.
  • Experience in providing metrics and dashboard reporting to Leadership.
  • Ability to manage risks, issues, and dependencies, with escalation to Leadership when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing C-suite executives.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and reach appropriate conclusions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage test operations and governance models to support project and programme delivery.
  • Define and ensure understanding of quality standards across testing delivery teams.
  • Develop operational processes and ensure they are understood across project and testing delivery teams.
  • Develop and maintain plans for demand management, including forecasting and budgeting.
  • Engage with project stakeholders to initiate test setup and allocate suitable test managers from the Test Delivery Pool.
  • Attend planning sessions to understand the project pipeline, timescales, and technologies.
  • Manage the recruitment, onboarding, assignment, and scheduling of resources for the TMO.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Contribute to strategic plans and reviews, prepare action plans, and resolve resource issues.
  • Identify and highlight opportunities for improvements in testing operations.
  • Support and deliver testing services in collaboration with the Test Delivery Pool.
  • Maintain the TMO Repository of Test assets and collateral.
  • Generate and publish reporting metrics and KPIs related to operations activities.
  • Conduct internal reviews and delivery assurance as per the TMO Framework.
  • Collaborate with third-party test suppliers to share good practice and test standards.
  • Ensure adherence to the Test Framework and leverage test tools within programme/project testing.
  • Drive continual process improvement to enhance quality and service offerings.
  • Report metrics and KPIs related to governance and assurance activities.
  • Apply methods to support Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, Waterfall, and other hybrid approaches.
