Overview:

Our client is currently seeking a temporary Logistics Team Leader. You will play a key role in coordinating dispatch operations and ensuring efficient order fulfilment.

  • Based in Leatherhead
  • £14 - £17 per hour
  • 1 - 2 months temporary assignment
  • Paid Weekly

Job specification:

  • Coordinate the dispatch of small parcels, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Track orders and oversee fulfilment processes to meet set timescales.
  • Manage and motivate team members to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Set objectives and targets for team members, monitor performance, and provide necessary training.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth order fulfilment processes and adherence to procedures.
  • Monitor and communicate stock levels to ensure availability at all times
  • Manage documentation of logistics procedures and operations
  • Ensure all logistics operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement strategies to enhance team efficiency and overall performance.

Person specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, with a focus on small parcel dispatch and order fulfilment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics regulations, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on new responsibilities as needed.
