Telecoms Engineer - based in Bromley, Kent - up to £35K

1 Year fixed term contract which may lead to a permanent position.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Telecoms Engineerto join the IT Department to support over 3,000 users and work collaboratively as part of a wider team.

You would be joining at a pivotal time, while we embark upon our digital transformation program. The goal is for our Operations, Care, Quality & Central Services systems to work seamlessly together to support all users and ultimately allow us to operate in a highly effective business.

What you can expect:

Up to 35k depending on experience.

1 Year FTC

Monday - Friday at our Head Office in Bromley.

A full driving license is required for this role.

Main responsibilities as a Telecoms Engineer:

  • Undertaking site surveys for VoIP deployment.
  • Checking the information gathered is appropriate and ensuring the system will meet the customers’ needs.
  • Installing the new system, door intercoms, testing\terminating data cables if needed.
  • Supporting our existing customer base to resolve any technical challenges they may encounter.
  • Provide full training to the customer and ensuring the customer is fully satisfied with their new system before leaving site.
  • Ensuring all documentation is complete and returned to HQ.

Skills and experience:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of Telecommunications/IT/Network installations and support.
  • Experience working with structured (CAT5/6) cabling.
  • Experience installing and supporting Hosted (VOIP/SIP) telephone solutions such as 3CX, Splicecom, Yealink.
  • Experience installing and supporting analogue/SIP door intercoms.
  • Experience installing and supporting network hardware such as routers and switches supplied by Draytek, Meraki.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for both on premise and hosted telephony solutions.
  • Good understanding of SIP, VOIP and networking in general especially network switch and router configuration.
  • Good organisation skills and a high attention to detail.
  • A current UK driving license.
