CUSTOMERS: Academic, Research, Pharmaceutical Laboratories
This position is 80% field-based and full product and sales training is provided.
Develop and maintain profitable sales within your assigned territory via maintaining and growing existing business as well as new opportunities. This will be achieved via structured visits to all current and potential customers in your region.
Demonstrating instrumentation on customer sites.
Organising and attending onsite mini-exhibitions.
Maintain accurate details, ensuring all information is on the customer database.
Working closely with the marketing team to ensure that all documentation is accurate and all information is provided to internal colleagues.
Maintain excellent market awareness and also of competitor activities.
Attendance at industry events, conferences and exhibitions.
BSc (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
Technical and commercial knowledge of the market for products in medicinal, process and organic chemistry.
Field sales experience in the laboratory industry, ideally in the chemistry market (academic, pharmaceutical, biotech, agrochemical, government, medical research institutes, fine chemical and chemical accounts) is preferred but not essential if the applicant has an excellent scientific understanding of the products and desire to move into scientific sales.
