We are working with a reputable training and development consultancy based in the Worcestershire area who are looking for a Technical IT Trainer to join their growing team. The role will be a part of a team of 20 trainers based out of their Worcestershire Head office with blended in home working and will include UK wide travel.

As a IT Trainer you will be introduced to businesses to qualify their training needs across Infrastructure, Networking, Sharepoint, Power BI, Cyber Security, SQL Server etc. To then create and deliver a training plan / assessment to the relevant IT teams. The organisation partner with businesses across both private and public sectors including:Defence, Healthcare and Central Government.

Applicants won't be expected to be experts across all these IT areas and necessary training will be provided to upskill / plug any gaps. You can either be a Technical Instructor who needs upskilling in technologies or someone who understands the tech and has a passion for teaching who we can develop into an amazing instructor. The successful candidate will deliver on average for 3 out of every 4 weeks. When overnight travel for on-site training is required, all reasonable expenses are paid by the organisation.

The Key Responsibilities are:

  • Partnering with business to identify training needs
  • Creating a Training plan to deliver to the organisations IT teams in class sizes of 12 - 16
  • Delivering onsite or remote training to a high standard showcasing best practice
  • In some cases preparing the class for examination

We are looking for applicants to have the below requirements criteria:

Good working knowledge of at least one of:

  • IP networking
  • Virtualisation (Hyper-V or VMware)
  • Cisco
  • Windows and other operating systems
  • Power BI
  • Cyber

Can demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter who is confident to take on a training role and develop training and technical skills

Qualifications in Microsoft Server, Cisco, VMware, or CompTIA are desirable

Some experience of delivering training is advantageous, but full OJT and a ‘train the trainer course’ will also be provided for the right person

A willingness to contribute to course development
