Technical Facilities Manager - Remote/Field - £30,000

Provide support to the DFM to ensure that the day to day management, operation and audit of the FM service partners, contractors, suppliers for FM, building maintenance and H&S statutory compliance into the divisional homes is met and that performance of suppliers meet property business requirements and targets

Ensure all homes / facilities in the Division are fully functional, well maintained and presented, meeting all property related statutory & CQC requirements at all times. Act as a point of contact for HoM’S/GM’s and Property service suppliers

Your role will be to…

Provide support to DFM and division in order to manage and monitor FM service partners to deliver contracted outputs into homes within the specific division

Provide technical support to ensure the PPM/statutory compliance of the homes in the division via the FM service supplier(s) and the HOM, this to include (but not restricted to) fixed wiring inspections, lifts & lifting equipment inspections, legionella risk assessments & checks, fire safety, asbestos management, gas safety tests, etc.

Provide reactive response to undertake audit of FM service provision and quality of works where appropriate, giving feedback to DFM and suppliers and any action as necessary, driving response, attendance, and first fix measures

Review PPM completion with FM service suppliers/providers

Review FM suppliers call and task data with the relevant contracts manager to develop actions to continually support improvement in FM service delivery

Provide support to the HoM’s in the prioritization and assigning of reactive maintenance tasks to the FM services suppliers ensuring optimum levels of service delivery are achieve.

Where required, carry out company site protocol and property policy inductions and checks to FM services suppliers /contractors to ensure compliance and safe working

Alongside the DFM, act as a point of escalation for FM suppliers and contractors, GM’s, HoM’s

Where required manage reactive emergency capex works at the divisional homes

Assist the DFM as required the management of major revenue works, using the appropriate supporting frameworks and service providers

Where appropriate attend FM supplier / contractor meetings and input into contract management discussions

Assist the DFM / GM where required, in the recruitment, training, development of the Head of Maintenance in the divisional homes

Support the maintenance of the divisional 5 year plan with the DFM from and the delivery of those works through appropriate frameworks, and/or other suppliers

Utilize the FM divisional reporting to drive service delivery into the homes and through home maintenance teams

Provide technical support and advice to the divisional homes, GM’s and HoM’s

Understand the needs and priorities of the business and the Division, schedule and prioritize workload and utilize FM support and supply chains effectively to deliver services efficiently

Action remedial works arising from CQC/Fire officer/EHO/ LA / Environment agency or other statutory inspections to ensure resolution at the home

Support the Property Development team and Operations on the integration of new builds / extensions / refurbishments, into the FM systems as required

Be an advocate for energy and environmental efficiency in the Division, support environmental initiatives and energy saving projects and highlight any energy saving / sustainability / waste reduction / recycling opportunities within the portfolio

Ensure adherence to company purchasing and financial procedures, policies and budgets, evidencing control cost and always providing value for money

Escalate any serious issues or non-compliance to the DFM or relevant internal owner to ensure effective support and to reduce potential risk to BHC.

Provide cross divisional support / advice where required by the business

If required, deputize for the DFM
