Technical & Design Coordinator

We are partnering with an uber cool workspace design company who is experiencing a period of hyper-growth!

We are looking for a high potential candidate, with a flair for design, an understanding of office space and an appreciation of what the work environment can bring to an organisation in terms of brand-fit, culture and ultimately, retention and results.

We are searching for a unique individual to join the operations team, in a Technical/Procurement capacity. Ideally, you will have workspace / office fit-out experience and therefore, be able to demonstrate an understanding of design, manufacturing, fittings, material sourcing, be able to interpret technical drawings and perform within a strict process driven, constantly evolving environment.

You will be logical in thought, driven, ambitious and have high standards of work and attention to detail. A quick learner, a good listener, with a professional approach to everything you do.

- TECHNICAL PURCHASING:
Create panel lists / metal work, snag list / upholstery orders;
Source unique items, as per design / liaising with new suppliers;

- NEW ORDER SCHEDULING:
Assign Project Manager to new job;
Schedule tasks / create timeline / set installation date;
Update schedule as required;

- STOCK CONTROL:
Perform initial stock check of orders / re-order stock materials;
Complete paperwork / Co-ordinate shipping for parts required internationally;

EXPERIENCE:

- Previous experience of furniture design and manufacturing;
- Knowledge of furniture assembly, manufacture, materials and fittings;
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and materials - wood, stone, glass, fabrics, laminate, etc.
- Good proficiency with Excel and Word.
- AutoCAD is advantageous
