We are seeking a Technical Communications Engineer for our Government client based in London. This role will be fully office based. The Technical Communications Engineer role will be an initial 12 month contract paying between £600 - £700/Day Inside IR35.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile:

• Possess a high level of expertise in technical communications, achieved either through a degree or relevant experience and training
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of secure government communications, including proficiency in the use of government cryptography
• Exhibit excellent working knowledge and technical expertise in IP phone systems and technologies, emphasizing security and administration aspects
• Display proficiency in video conferencing technologies, incorporating best practices, and adept at configuring Codecs
• Have a comprehensive understanding of WAN and LAN technologies, along with physical infrastructure, including basic configuration
• Demonstrate a sound grasp of technical security principles
• Showcase outstanding customer-facing skills, including effective senior stakeholder management
• Collaborate effectively within a team, building rapport and maintaining positive working relationships
• Engage with national and international partners to develop and maintain systems, manage testing schedules, and ensure relevant and appropriate testing completion
• Handle incidents, escalating problems and issues to management, articulating impact, and overseeing fault resolutions
• Act as the team's VOIP technology expert
• Undertake travel to remote offices for equipment installation, testing, or live call setup
• Document the design, installation, and configuration of secure systems and infrastructure
• Deliver projects on time and within budget, from procurement to the live service delivery, meeting business requirements
• Manage records and documentation for systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and securely stored with appropriate access permissions
• Participate in ad hoc technical, commercial, and business activities necessary to achieve the team's goals
• Occasional national travel may be required for this role
