Tax Manager

In return this firm is seeking an exceptional tax accountant with experienced leading a mixed portfolio from both an advisory and a compliance perspective. You’ll be an able leader who can inspire and motivate a team whilst keeping a close eye on workflow, deadlines and resourcing. You’ll have outstanding technical acumen and a breadth of tax knowledge that will ensure clients can trust you to deliver up to the minute advice to help their clients to thrive.

If you’re a qualified (desirable not essential) tax accountant with 3-4 years of experience supervising a tax team, this role could be your next professional step and out client would be delighted to meet you.

• Manage a varied mixed tax portfolio across compliance and advisory.
• Preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns and computations.
• Support the team with the provision of tax advice nationally and internationally.
• Manage HMRC enquiries, liaising on behalf of clients.
• Work together with the other departments of the firm ensuring a seamless approach.
• Oversee junior staff, including workflow management, reviewing work, and providing training.
• Build strong rapport with clients, proactively handling queries and resolving complex issues.
• Keep up to date with taxation news and legislation.
• Champion professional development, undertaking regular training opportunities.

• CTA/ATT qualified is desirable but not essential.
• A minimum of three years tax experience within UK practice at a supervisory level.
• Knowledge of providing tax support to ex-pasts is desirable but not essential.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Organised and able to manage own workload.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
• Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
• An eagerness to progress with the firm, undertaking continuous professional development.
