FMCG - Baking & Food Industries

Predominantly Based at manufacturing site in Worcestershire

Our client collaborates closely with it's clients to formulate and manufacture tailor-made powder blends that precisely align with their unique specifications. With an expansive array of available ingredients and blends, their product offer caters to various segments within the baking and food industries. They work with a range of customers from small bakerys, café chains and large-scale production facilities, covering their blending needs, creating their bespoke mixes, and saving valuable time allowing them to focus on their business.

Reporting to the head of Operations, the Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager will  oversee and optimise the company's Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Purchasing & Procurement Operations. Responsible for implementing and maintaining efficient and effective end to end Supply Chain processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services and strong customer service levels through effective planning.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field and Professional certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) would be an advantage.

  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager or similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Strong analytical, forecasting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and make sound decisions.

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures, including strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in SAP as well as Microsoft Office Suite would be an advantage.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
