JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will use business improvement, relationship management and contract management skills to improve the end to end DDP supply chain and leverage increased value for SL. In doing so, the SRM, will strive to continuously improve performance to ensure consistent and predictable scope delivery by the respective DDP supply chain partners. In practice, the SRM will be required to create closer, more collaborative relationships with key DDP partners in order to realise the full potential of the partnership and reduce the risk of failure.
The SRM will be responsible for the delivery of supplier performance improvement, and added value through supporting and leading joint improvement with suppliers and SL
Influence the commercial/ contract management staff, Lot Delivery Partners, and key business stakeholders.
Establish and manage effective relationships with the suppliers to ensure potential stakeholder issues do not cause conflict, unnecessary delay or quality concerns
Be accountable for the Performance Assurance Methodology process (KPIs and Executive leader board) for DDP, and drive further improvements to the PAM process as the partnership matures.
Communicate any SL issues to the supplier to ensure proactive support.
Be a conduit for the supplier to communicate issues to SL for resolution, above specific contractual issues.
Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain team to constantly understand & react to, Supplier performance.
Be an integral member of the DDP Framework Management Team
Support development of future business improvement initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Experience of business improvements and quantifiable savings, particularly in a supply chain environment;
Facilitation of large senior team improvement workshops;
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels, internally and externally;
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to present analysis in a compelling way (significant knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint);
Ability to manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously, to ensure they meet the customer expectations;
High emotional intelligence with experience of developing both technical skills and leadership behaviours of direct and indirect staff.

Essential Skills

Experience of contract and supplier management; Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures to support post contract management and improvement with suppliers, including training, coaching and mentoring as appropriate.

Ability to demonstrate a considerable degree of independence but recognise when to escalate;

High attention to detail with strong planning & organising competency.

Desirable Skills

Understanding of UK contract law and regulatory requirements would be an advantage;

Formal lean or six sigma training and significant experience of lean or six sigma required to Black Belt or equivalent level;

Relevant degree or professional qualification preferred; Formal project management certification preferred;
