Structuring Officer and Financial Analyst, Invoice Finance & ABL

he Role

Building upon the existing success of the business this is a new role reflective of the increased loan book exposure and product range, with a focus on supporting the portfolio and sales teams deliver safe growth.

Undertake financial assessments and due diligence for new and existing customers. This will include complex ABL exposures of up to £65m, integrated cashflow lending (both secure and unsecured) of up to £5m, and syndication exposures where total lending facilities could be in excess of £250m.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the review, interpretation and interrogation of external due diligence including buy-side and sell-side, quality of earnings, net debt and debt like items, working capital analysis and debt service capability.
  • Using source data, understand and interpret complex financial models to help support lending decisions for both new and existing customers.
  • Being highly proficient in excel, and must be able to clearly communicate findings succinctly, both orally and in writing, and across different stakeholder groups including local and group credit, portfolio teams, existing and prospective customers and debt advisory relationships.
  • Assist deal teams with structuring new facilities.
  • Assist portfolio teams with restructuring existing facilities.
  • Systemic review of largest exposures, highest value exposures and complex asset classes from time-to-time. Make recommendations to portfolio teams as appropriate.

Relevant Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience at a top 30 UK accountancy practice, ideally with experience of working directly with Invoice Finance / ABL lenders.
  • ACA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent.
  • Insolvency qualifications and/or experience of working in insolvency situations, as well as experience of working in a range of M&A situations beneficial (mergers, acquisitions, disposals, restructures, buy ins, buy outs, VC, PE etc).
  • Strong commercial understanding and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working in a fast pace and changing environment.
  • Must be a collaborative team player as the role operates across portfolio, origination and risk, engaging with heads of departments and their direct reports with an objective of securing optimal customer outcomes and safe risk management.
