Stores Assistant

Temporary to Permanent

Full-Time (7:55am-4:25pm Monday to Thursday and 7:55am-1:25pm Friday)

£11.44 per hour

Swindon

We are assisting our client, a Swindon based electronics manufacturer, in recruiting a Stores Assistant to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

The post involves:

  • Kitting materials for internal production kits.
  • Receiving raw materials and finished goods.
  • Despatching finished goods.

The Role:

Kitting:

  • Picking raw materials from bin locations for internal production kits as specified on printed job orders.
  • Cutting raw material cable to length for production kits by hand or using a machine as specified on printed job orders.
  • Assembling conduit assemblies through cutting conduit to length and adding conduit fittings as specified on printed job orders.

Receiving:

  • Receiving goods inwards and checking to the supplier delivery note.
  • Entering the receipt onto the computer system.
  • Labelling and locating the physical product into appropriate stores locations.

Despatching:

  • Preparing finished goods for despatch following internal inspection requirements as specified on printed job orders and delivery proposals.
  • Logging deliveries using the computer system.

General Requirements:

  • Fully aware of the general requirements for working in a warehouse, such as being on your feet and lifting.
  • Comfortable with the use of basic computer skills.
  • Good attention to detail and being able to work accurately.
  • Reliable and punctual.
