The role:

Are you a qualified (or part-qualified) actuary or data scientist with experience in building high-quality models, looking to join a non-traditional and technology-focused consultancy?

This is an exceptional opportunity, exclusive to Star Actuarial, for a client-facing subject matter expert in modelling to:

  • specialise in building high-quality actuarial and financial models and end-to end process optimisation
  • liaise and work with a diverse team and influence the development of our client's technology
  • continue to develop your software skills in order to solve complex problems.

What will I need?

  • Experience gained within an insurance setting, ideally reserving
  • excellent team-player skills
  • an inquisitive and innovative mindset
  • a good understanding of general coding principles and concepts with particular experience in SQL, SAS or Python is advantageous.

A study package will be provided for an individual still working towards an actuarial qualification and data scientists from a life insurance background will be considered.
