About the Role:
We are currently hiring for an IT Production Support Engineer to based in our Basildon Office.
You will be required to support complex business projects and issues and responsibilities will include:
- Production Support of complex platform systems.
- Providing software configuration management in the realm of change deployment, change execution, job scheduling, release management, and release implementation.
- Trouble–shooting and restoring service to multiple applications, Networks and system using industry accepted techniques and procedures.
- Performing impact analysis to output data processing based on user and client requirements.
- Analysing documentation supporting changes in a complex production environment.
- Communicating the status of operations to allow for immediate response to service disruptions.
- Serving as an escalation point for more complex issues.

Extensive related IT experience including;
Working with technical data and understanding complex technical terminology.
Proficiency in Linux and SQL queries
General experience with Networking and Apache and Jboss
Experience with Cloud Plaforms, Splunk and App Dynamics would be highly desirable
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options, recommendations, and additional actions relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks, and resolving escalated items.
Educated to Degree level or equivalent work experience and appropriate certificates.
Strong understanding of complex business processes/functions.
Strong experience in problem and change management reporting and processes
Ablilty to produce statistical data/charts/graphs
Excellent verbal, written and executive level presentation skills
Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans
Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities
Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
