Solutions Architect - Software

100% Remote Working

We are a leading provider of expertise to the engineering sector, we provide skills, tooling, and expertise that have facilitated many major advancements within the engineering field here in the UK. Our work with the UK government is shaping engineering for the next generations. Our work within the motor racing arena has saved lives and the subsequent drip down of technologies into automotive manufacturing continues to drive innovation. Our approach towards engineering can draw parallels from the Technology space with Agile methodologies being deployed to enable our government and client partners to leverage our expertise to create a competitive advantage for business and the UK on the global stage. We are also a key influencer for the world of work within the Engineering space, recognising skills and facilitating the UK to remain a leader in the field.

We utilise software throughout the organisation with a sizeable proportion being designed in-house and built alongside 3rd party organisations. Our requirement for bespoke software delivery continues to grow and to facilitate our strategy for this area of the business we are now looking to build an internal team of Software experts, the first role is in the form of a Software Solutions Architect to help deliver several new platforms and facilitate bespoke requirements for Motorsport and wider clientele.

The Solutions Architect will work closely with Developers alongside internal and external stakeholders to deliver against a range of software projects, this role will lean on your technical expertise but also your ability to be an ambassador for technology within the business, you will play a pivotal role for software projects but also play a sizeable role in our Technology strategy and the interactions with our clients. As for oversight for the various projects being developed either in-house or through 3rd parties you will require a commercial mindset, with experience in managing projects based on Micro-service / cloud-based (Azure) architecture.

Our stack comprises Microsoft technologies to include - Azure, C# / C++ .Net core, with ML and AI technologies utilising development partners across the UK delivering a number of our platforms. Short to medium-term strategy is to continue these relationships while building a team around this role, with this role central to those growth plans it's imperative the individual we bring on board is open to growing with us.

In addition to your Microsoft Development skills, we are seeking excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate projects and resources with an ability to focus on the details. Any exposure to Geofencing would also be of value to us. We recognise talent comes in many forms and welcome applications from individuals with formal Microsoft qualifications / Software related degrees and/or real-world experience.
