Acting Supported Housing Scheme Manager (Temporary)

Yates Court, High Street, Evesham

Salary:  Circa £45k

Hours:  37.5 hours per week

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust are currently recruiting for an Acting Supported Housing Manager for Yates Court Housing Scheme in Evesham.  This is a hands on management role where you will need to lead from the front.  Highly motivated with a can do attitude, you will take overall responsibility of all aspects of life at the Scheme, from working with leaseholders and tenants, to managing a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, and developing a vibrant community - all to the high standards of care and hospitality that we have become known for.  The care levels within this Scheme are varied with some high level care needs coupled with independent living.

The Acting Support Housing Scheme Manager will be responsible for running the Scheme as a 24/7, 365 day operation. Initiative and problem solving are second nature to this role as there will be no two days the same where you are accountable for a range of facilities and services in a regulated environment. You will be required to become the ‘Registered Manager’ for Care Quality Commission (CQC) purposes and to achieve the QCF Diploma Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

You should have experience within a fast paced sector, preferably the care sector, and possess a strong customer service ethic, including experience managing relationships with customers from a variety of tenures. You should demonstrate strong leadership qualities with an excellent track record of people management in terms of staff, volunteers and the community. Financial acumen is also vital in this position as you will be responsible for the budget for the Scheme, as is an ability to inspire and motivate.

Communication skills are paramount; you’ll be required to deal with a variety of people at different levels, from liaising with Local Authorities and a variety of stakeholders, to residents, to handling any issues or complaints with consistency and professionalism.

Experience in a care background is preferable for this role at Yates Court.
