SHE Manager / HSE Manager – Chard - £Negotiable

My Client, a large and established FMCG manufacturing company situated in Chard near Taunton, is looking to recruit a SHE Manager / HSE Manager for their site. You will report into the Site General Manager and your remit will be to ensure all of the relevant SHE legislation are implemented and that the business complies with corporate requirements.
Key duties for this role will include:
·Develop and implement a SHE action plan.
·Develop and recommend policies, standards and procedures and systems to ensure full compliance to legislation and environmental standards
·Ensuring personal and environmental accidents and incidents are investigated and the appreciate actions taken
·Provide assistance with Risk assessments
·Keep abreast of the latest Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
·Develop an effective team of H&S representatives
·Work with OH and HR to advise on Health Surveillance

SHE Manager Keys skills required for the role:
-Diploma level NEBOSH, H&S and Environmental qualification
-Excellent understanding of all aspects of Health, Safety & Environmental (including legislation, audit handling and management systems)
-Able, and prepared, to make significant decisions in a timely manner, challenging when appropriate
-Experience of successful cross functional working
-Manufacturing experience

This role offers a salary and benefits package commensurate with that of a large FMCG company

This role will suit a person who is working/ has worked as a H&S Manager, HSE Manager, SHEQ Manager, Health Safety and Environment Manager (SHE) in a large manufacturing company and the role is commutable from Exeter, Taunton, Yeovil, Bridgwater.
