Temporary Service Manager Urgently Required

Our client, a reputable housing association is looking for an experienced Service Manager to manage their domestic violence refuge service based in Essex

Position: Service Manager
Period: 3 months with possibility of extension
Hours: Full time
Location: Essex
Rate: £15 - £20 per hour dependant on experience

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Working with victims of domestic abuse including sexual abuse
  • Responsible for developing, managing and leading the staff group assigned by the Senior Operations Manager
  • Ensure that the safety of victims of domestic abuse is central to all processes
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection and retention process for all staff and posts within the community services
  • You will ensure effective and appropriate support is available to address individual needs and develop productive working relationships through case reviews and case supervision, Line management, coaching and mentoring
  • Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies, ensuring specialist domestic abuse support services are central to multi-agency work and the response to domestic abuse


Essential requirements:

  • Managerial experience within Supported Housing
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Car driver with access to a vehicle
