Clare House

Clare House is a Residential home for adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). The service consists of 9 ensuite and 4 self-contained cottages adjacent to the main house. The team actively support individuals to develop daily living skills and access the local community as independently as possible. Located in Dunblane, Stirlingshire Clare House was the first service in Scotland to exclusively provide support for males and females with Prader-Willi Syndrome aged between 20 and 50 years old.

The Service Manager role

We’ll look to you to lead the team at Clare House providing operational and strategic direction, and making sure everything runs smoothly and cost-effectively. Together, you’ll ensure the individuals you support have the opportunity to develop a varied and fulfilling lifestyle - and the chance to define their own goals and decide their own future.

From ensuring the highest standards of support, to managing budgets, and developing your team, it’s a varied role in an organisation that’s leading the way in supporting those with learning disabilities.

The skills you’ll need

A strong, supportive leader and effective manager, you’ve successfully managed a team in a challenging PWS/Learning Disability Service. You’ve also had professional senior level contact with Care Inspectorate and have developed positive relationships with commissioning teams.

You should have achieved, or be working towards a QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care or hold equivalent qualification, such as SVQ Level 4 in both Health and Social Care and Leadership and Management in Care Services. Above all, you’re committed to the same high-quality, person-centered services that we are - services that help people to a better life.
