Senior Warehouse Operative
My client is looking to recruit a Senior Warehouse Operative for an initial 3-6 month FTC with a view, if everything goes well, to become a permanent member of the team.
The purpose of the role is to contribute towards the operational delivery of strategy for Online & Small Delivery (up to 150kg)
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- With support of Head of Operations, develop & implement resource plan for team to meet daily and weekly pick, pack, despatch targets.
- Printing and planning of pick lists to maximise daily output and meet customer satisfaction
- Ensure correct goods are picked and packed in line with orders and delivery requirements
- Develop processes with Head of Operations to increase team output and with eCommerce team to support journey to 'despatch on date of order’
- Work with wider team to enable Click & Collect orders to be picked up from Shop by customers
- Ensure deliveries routed correctly with necessary system updates and documentation
- Ensure packaging of products meets highest quality standards & damage in transit minimised - whilst balancing reducing packaging costs per order
- Assist with warehouse inventory controls utilising Warehouse Management System
- Keep the warehouse environment clean and tidy.
- Maintain equipment required to perform duties. Report any faults to line manager.
- Ensure workplace Health & Safety rules and guidelines are followed.
- Undertake various other tasks when required by line manager.
About You
- Previous experience of working in warehouse essential
- Numerate and accurate with eye for detail.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Physically fit as role requires manual lifting
- Able to interact with customers where required.
