Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + benefits

My client in Swindon is looking to hire a senior Systems engineer to join their successful team to develop the architecture of products to meet customer requirements in terms of functionality, performance and cost.
You will be using extensive SW and HW knowledge to ensure product compliance against customer requirements.
Your daily duties:
Specify and ensure the successful implementation of the HW aspects of products. More specifically:
a)Define requirements and specification for products in liaison with program leader and customers. Create supporting high quality documentation including detailed design specifications and support as necessary program leader to create presentation material and overview datasheets. Design specifications should be based on a detailed understanding of customer requirements, commercial background and standards requirements e.g. 3GPP etc.
b) Support program leader with compliance statements and BOM cost analysis in a timely manner as defined by business needs.
c)Perform the architectural design of products in order to comply with the product specification and allow cost effective and efficient implementation by the development team. Architectural design should be based on a comprehensive knowledge of all of the aspects of products including RF Power Amplifier Technology, Digital Pre-distortion, PAR Reduction, Radio Transceiver TX design, RF Filter Technology, LNA design, Radio Transceiver RX design, DAC's and ADC's , Digital signal processing chains from baseband through to DAC's / ADC's.
d)Based upon the product architectural design create detailed design specifications for all internal HW modules in liaison with internal or external design teams. Design specifications should contain an appropriate level of detail and should be realisable based on technology and cost constraints.
e)Perform RF system analysis as required to support creation of module specifications including the following as examples but not necessarily exhaustive list: RF Frequency planning for TX and RX chains, Filtering budgets from Baseband to Antenna connector, TX and RX cascades of key system parameters such as NF and EVM, DC Power Budgets.
f)Support the implementation of modules and product integration through attending design reviews, reviewing design verification test results and assisting system integration team. Work to resolve compliance issues as necessary in order to achieve product delivery schedule. Provide HW systems engineering support as required by development process.
