Senior Software Engineer - Node and AWS

An ecommerce company based in Manchester are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a greenfield project team working on a new financial services platform. The team operate as an independent start-up, within an established organisation which has been trading for over 100 years.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing, coding, documenting and amending complex programs/scripts and integration software services.
• Contributing to the selection of the software development methods, tools and techniques.
• Applying agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes.
• Designing complex software applications, components and modules.
• Using approved tools and techniques for specific deployment activities.
• Using application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics.

The successful candidate will have a background in Javascript/Typescript development with experience of Node serverless microservices. You will need experience of AWS serverless development and Terraform or Kafka experience would be advantageous.

This is a hybrid role with 1 day per fortnight in Manchester.
