Berkshire (Hybrid: 3–4 days office-based)

£65,000 – £80,000 + benefits

Overview

Our client, a well-established and growing technology business, is seeking capable Software Developers to join a high-performing engineering team.

This role sits within a complex, enterprise-grade environment, focused on building scalable, reliable systems that support mission-critical services.

You will be expected to contribute across the full development lifecycle, working closely with engineering, product and operational teams.

The Role

You will design, develop and maintain software solutions within a structured, delivery-focused environment.

The work involves solving real-world technical challenges, contributing to system design, and ensuring high standards across performance, reliability and security.

This is not a siloed role. You will be expected to collaborate, take ownership, and contribute to meaningful technical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop high-quality software solutions

Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions

Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code

Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of standards

Work within Agile / Scrum environments

Collaborate with Product, QA and Infrastructure teams

Support deployment, monitoring and ongoing optimisation of systems

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments

Technical Environment

Experience in some of the following is expected:

C# / .NET (or similar object-oriented languages)

SQL / relational databases

JavaScript / TypeScript (React or similar frameworks beneficial)

API development and integrations

Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)

Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

Candidate Profile

Degree educated (2:1 or above preferred) in a relevant discipline

Strong foundation in software development principles

Commercial experience within a structured development environment

Ability to think clearly, solve problems, and communicate effectively

Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based setting

Motivated, detail-oriented and capable of delivering to deadlines
