Senior Social Media Officer
Bristol – Remote

I am thrilled to be supporting a Public Services organisation with their hunt for a Senior Social Media Executive to join on an initial 6 month FTC to support with an extremely busy period.

Working in a small but experienced team you will be responsible for supporting the full spectrum of social media activity. You will be happy to get stuck in, create social media output to sort timelines, be comfortable in cross-team communication and offer creative input for future campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with internal marketing teams and agencies to develop and deliver campaigns on our organic social channels, offering insight and advice to teams throughout the planning process to optimise the success of campaigns.

• Day-to-day management of some of our key social channels, including escalating reputational issues and identifying and harnessing content opportunities as they arise through social listening and awareness of current trends. This will include working closely with teams across the directorate and working sensitively with case studies.

• Keeping audiences engaged and interested with innovative and exciting content. This will involve coming up with concepts and ideas and briefing and working with our internal design team to put these ideas into practise.

• Manage BAU social calendars, ensuring these are well balanced and consistent and any risks have been considered and managed.

• Producing and analysing reports using tools including Sprout Social and Brandwatch and sharing interpretations and recommendations with wider teams.

• Experience working across different channels, with knowledge of what works well on each platform and how to grow and engage social media audiences.

• Able to work sensitively across the subject area and has a good understanding of reputation and risk and how this will impact organisation.

• Good copywriting and proofreading skills and be able to work to tight deadlines as often posts need to be turned around very quickly.

• Able to come up with innovative ideas and see them through to delivery in order to develop the accounts and keep audiences engaged.

• Public sector or charity background is highly desirable.

This role will be busy and intense, so the correct person needs to be comfortable hitting the ground running.
