What you’ll be doing
Working as part of the wider Machine Learning team, you’ll be tackling novel deep learning problems in the context of genomic & DNA data. You’ll be taking academic research and applying different solutions to this problem in order enhance their antibiotic resistance genomic prediction technologies. In this research based role you’ll work with an interdisciplinary team of ML Engineers, Bioinformaticians, Software Engineers, Scientists and Hardware Engineers. This is an exciting role where you can really push the boundaries of ML in this space and help save lives with the technology they are developing.
What experience you’ll need to apply
- An MRes or PhD in a data or hard science oriented field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Biochemistry, Biology or similar
- Experience in an ML Research role working on novel algorithm development or taking complex research and applying it in a work environment
- An understanding of or a high level knowledge of DNA, cells, genomes or bacteria
- Experience working with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise across diverse technical levels.
The package for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience), fully remote working with occasional expensed travel to their office
