Business Development:

  • Pro-active in developing new and existing business, alongside the Managing Director to generate additional revenue
  • Develop strategies, alongside the senior management team
  • Drive and manage new business pitches

Client servicing:

  • To co-ordinate and manage the account management resource to effectively deliver client requirements
  • Retain a good knowledge of the clients current, and future, work and needs to ensure efficiency and delivery
  • Work with the client and the team in order to develop new opportunities
  • Deliver an excellent service with a ‘can do’ attitude, whilst not compromising the quality


  • Proficient in the use of Outlook and MS Office; Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Constantly looking to utilise technology to improve customer service and increase agency efficiencies


  • Take responsibility for challenging client briefs, to ensure objectives are being met, the right information is present and pushing back to client where necessary, for the best end results
  • Ensure the quality of internal creative briefing high
  • Work closely with designers to raise the standard and quality of work being produced
  • Encourage and develop existing account management team to deliver a better quality of creativity/design


  • Oversee the Digital function, to expand the agency offering
  • Explore new business opportunities that will incorporate this new resource

Financial awareness & management:

  • Ensure the account management team raise estimates accurately, realistically and on time
  • Review budget plans, by client, on a monthly basis and raise any concerns, shortfalls or abnormalities and revise if appropriate
  • Ensure all invoicing is produced, accurately, to estimate and on time
  • Ensure that all time sheets are completed
  • Have a working knowledge of project management tools to enable budget reviews and report analysis
  • Review profitability of individual clients and, if deemed appropriate, profitability by job


  • Remain in touch with industry trends and development, particularly in the digital arena
  • Develop views and opinions on key industry and client issues
  • Seek new opportunities to further develop best practice and efficiencies

Management & leadership:

  • Ensure the account team adheres to agency guidelines and help develop processes and procedures where necessary, as part of “smarter working”
  • Create and maintain an environment of thinking, challenging and innovation within the team
  • Responsible for assigning and managing projects and tasks for the account team and the quality of their output
  • Support the MD role, when/where appropriate, to set and review daily tasks in accordance with the teams’ workload
  • Manage the level and extent of client contact and creative input for the account team dependent upon their abilities and development plan
  • Mentoring and development of the account management team
  • Remain 100% professional always, particularly when dealing with the client
  • Have a positive outlook on life and be upbeat
  • Build and promote team spirit within the agency
  • Support the senior management team in building and developing the agency

Relationships & communication:

  • Build senior client relationships
  • Facilitate client meetings where appropriate
