Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all stages of the investment development lifecycle; identifying opportunities, client needs and target markets, designing, structuring and launching product solutions, and conducting ongoing product reviews.
  • Manage the product launch and change process, from inception through governance and delivery.
  • Accountable for ensuring products are developed in alignment with relevant regulation, following the relevant processes and required governance steps.
  • Apply expertise in fund structures (UCITS and NURS), product regulation, sustainability regulation and retail investment propositions to deliver good client outcomes and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and ensure that key governance steps are completed. This will include a variety of projects across asset classes; including fund launches, fund manager replacements, reallocations and IMA updates. 
  • Develop and improve processes for investment development, improving efficiency of implementation for key change projects including fund launches, fund manager replacements, reallocations and IMA updates. 
  • Ability to create product solutions to meet client needs, support the business and align with regulatory requirements.

Background Experience:

  • Experience in an investment product role within the asset management industry with a good working knowledge of retail investor types, competitor landscapes, distribution strategies and investment products across pooled product structures in the UK and EMEA.
  • Experience of launching, reviewing, amending and closing regulated fund structures, and a strong understanding of the product lifecycle and the role of product governance within that cycle.
  • Engage across a broad range of stakeholders within the Investment Division and across the wider business, aligning activity to ensure effective development and management of the Company’s investment products. 
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices relevant to the Company’s investment products including PROD, Consumer Duty, MiFID, COLL and AIFMD; experience with EMEA regulatory regimes advantageous.
