Are you an experienced Data Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and make a significant impact? We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our well established Engineering client. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the Azure-based data infrastructure and helping the company scale.

This business have identified Data as a real key area in order to help them grow and have invested heavily in improving this area. They are currently using a mix of on prem and cloud services, but are looking to move to a fully cloud based approach (Azure), and that's where the Senior Data Engineer comes in.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Azure-based data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Work with the wider Data/BI team to understand data requirements and implement effective solutions using the Microsoft BI Stack.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a data warehouse.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure the timely delivery of accurate and high-quality data.
• Work closely with data analysts and stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide reliable data solutions.

Skills Required:

• SQL
• Azure (DataBricks, Synapse, ADF)
• SSIS
• Power BI (not essential but advantageous)
• Ability to work with/manage stakeholders

The business are looking for you to be in the office (Central Manchester) 1/2 times per week. However, they can be flexible on this after an initial 3/6 month period where they could then make it more remote.
