Senior Data Analyst- Optimisation/Water Re-cycling

£40,000 circa depending on skills and experience

Permanent, full time.

Based within the Anglian Water region - hybrid working (mixture of office and homeworking - possible site visits)

Water Recycling?is at the heart of our?operations.?The key services that we are responsible for are?delivered by our?in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres.

What you will be doing?

As the Senior Data Analyst, you will be a seasoned professional, with extensive experience in data analysis. Your deep understanding of statistical methodologies, along with your proven track record of delivering actionable insights at a senior level, will ensure that Anglian Water becomes as operationally efficient as possible. Using analytics to identify opportunities will only enhance the performance and strategic decision making going forward.

The Senior Data Analyst (SDA) will leverage their extensive knowledge and expertise in analytics to build advanced analytics products and provide actionable insights that add significant value to the business. As a trusted partner to the business, the SDA will work proactively to support stakeholders with intelligence derived from data. This role requires a strong understanding of UX principles, statistics, and advanced coding to visualize complex data effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work proactively with senior stakeholders to understand opportunities for analytics to add value, taking a business partnering approach to add maximum value.

• Utilise your strong subject matter expertise and stakeholder network to seek analysis opportunities

• Seek to understand how users are using analytics products and suggest and coordinate potential enhancements and additions.

• Using data mining and data analysis skills to support the identification, development, validation and reporting associated with optimisation projects.

• Create compelling visualisations using a strong understanding of applied User Experience principles, translating complex data into understandable information to support business decisions using the most suitable medium

• Coach junior colleagues to improve their practice.

• Provide constructive product and practice feedback, regularly carrying our peer reviews.

• Actively engage with Enterprise Analytics standards, supporting development, implementation, and audit.

What does it take to be a Senior Data Analyst?

• Strong technical skillset- competent user of IT, new technologies and advance knowledge of Microsoft excel & Power BI

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to be able to adapt on the audience.

• Good data handling skills- analysis and interpretation

• Strong stakeholder management skillset - ability to influence and persuade multi-disciplinary teams?

• Methodical and systematic thinker- a process driven individual who can look at new ways of working, providing ideas around continuous improvement

• Advocate of collaboration with the capability to work autonomously too

• Good coaching and feedback skills.

• Full driving license
