The Senior Security Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safeguarding of information systems, improving and implementing security tools. The role will involve a mixture of delivering the security road-map and hands on cyber security engineering duties. This role reports to the CIO and works hybrid in Chester.

Client Details

Our client is an international pharmaceutical company, with UK operation in Chester. They are keen to hire a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer to join their new global security team.

Description

  • Implement and manage IT security systems and protocols
  • Manage and configure firewall solution
  • Identify potential vulnerabilities proactively and implementing strategic solutions
  • Collaborate with the technology team to ensure a comprehensive approach to security
  • Perform vulnerabilities patching and systems change
  • Support audits to ensure compliance with industry and company standards
  • Keep abreast of the latest security trends and technologies

Profile

  • Extensive knowledge of IT security protocols and systems
  • Demonstrated experience in hands on cyber and infrastructure security engineering
  • Familiar with Microsoft security tools ( such as Intune ), network security, firewall solutions
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
