The Department:

The department consists of two groups, Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML). These make up the Firm’s overall Practice Protection team. Headed by two Partners, the department deals with all of the Firm’s regulatory, AML and day to day compliance matters.

The Role:

We require a Senior Analyst with a good degree and/or strong GCSEs and A-levels; an accountancy background would be beneficial or with knowledge of any of the following areas:

  • ICAEW’s Regulation, Bye-laws or Code of Ethics

  • Anti-Money Laundering

  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption

  • Client Money

  • Data Protection

  • Risk Management


The responsibilities of this role are varied and would include the following:

  • Assisting with the maintenance of compliance policies and procedures

  • Assisting with the maintenance of relevant compliance registers, including the breaches register, higher risk client register, complaints register, gift register etc.

  • Assisting with file reviews as instructed by the Compliance Manager and liaising with the Compliance Manager to address any issues identified

  • Carrying out a wide variety of practical and administrative duties in relation to all compliance

  • Assisting with Regulatory and Annual Practice Assurance reviews

  • Supporting the Practice Protection team in developing and promoting a strong compliance culture within the Firm

  • Assisting with ad hoc projects relating to Practice Protection

Full training will be given on the above duties where necessary.

We would expect the successful candidate to manage their personal workload and prioritise work accordingly to meet the Firm’s needs.
