Senior Category Manager - IT

As a Senior Category Manager reporting directly to the Team Lead for Software & SaaS, you'll embark on an exciting journey contributing to innovative projects spanning for our Global Energy Client in a forward thinking, International and creative team.

This role offers Hybrid working, but presence in the North-Rhine Westphalia region 1-2 days a week, our client can offer relocation support if required?

As a Senior Category Manager, you'll take charge of driving large strategic sourcing activities within your assigned categories for Software & SaaS on a global scale. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing value-creating sourcing strategies, executing complex RFx processes, and modernizing Category Strategies over time. Key responsibilities include:

• Executing strategic initiatives and developing value-creating sourcing strategies
• Utilizing deep IT knowledge to drive RFx processes effectively
• Maintaining standardized bidding templates for efficient sourcing execution
• Minimizing supply chain risk and maximizing performance
• Building a strong network of trusted suppliers and potential partners
• Fostering innovation in sourcing activities and contracts
• Ensuring ethical standards and integrity are upheld

Your Profile

• Deep experience in tender-related procurement practices
• Relevant IT/OT supply market knowledge
• Expertise in P2P and e-Sourcing platforms
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills
• High flexibility and willingness to adapt
• Strong organizational, change, and project management skills
• Excellent proficiency in English & German.
