Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager
Sector: Telecoms/Tech
Pay rate: £300 per day (PAYE + Holiday pay)
Expected duration: 9 Months (With a possibility of extending)
Start: Immediate
Location: Hybrid working - Central London - 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home

Our client is a world leading technology business. They are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and professional Sr. Business Development leader with a passion for problem solving and building from scratch to help accelerate customer and partner growth.
In this role, you will work in a fast moving and ambiguous environment, use effective C-level communication skills to manage relationships, develop and execute win-win business plans that help partners and sales channels thrive.

The Sr. Business Development Manager is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. Earning the trust of partners, effectively negotiating terms and closing deals that lead to enduring relationships, while continuing to understand current and future product set.

The ideal candidate has experience developing relationships across the telco/ISP space and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and revenue targets. Success in the role requires experience in complex deal negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and engage with prospective ISP/Telco Partners
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around the Service Provider programs, identify opportunities and advocate product innovations that can delight customers.
  • Identify accounts' complex problems/frictions and work internally to drive scalable resolutions.
  • You will be responsible for teaming with all aspects of the customer's organisation, which includes executives, engineering, business owners, legal, marketing, and others. Skills required to build relationships across an account include creative thinking, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, to impact all business groups.
  • You will partner with leaders across the business to create new strategic partnerships, drive a uniform strategy and identify opportunities for the business to help drive continued geographic expansion.
  • You will identify new opportunities, work with and manage internal stakeholders and at times lead the development of business cases and advocate for solutions that delight our customers.
  • You will initiate, structure, negotiate, and close new relationships.
  • You will analyse market data to identify trends and opportunities for the product and execute on business development opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews, market segment opportunity analysis, and make recommendations in order to maximize the potential of the assigned territory.
  • Understand and utilise CRM tools to track all pertinent account information, forecast and prioritise to achieve quarterly goals
  • Provide tailored recommendations that improve senior-level Accounts' Decision Maker Experience and scale learnings to drive improvement beyond assigned accounts (e.g., influencing playbooks).
  • Contribute to cadenced reporting and narrativesand present them effectively leadership

Requirements

  • Experience negotiating software and services agreements.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong understanding of networking and technical knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies
  • Several years of experience working with, presenting to C-level executives, lines of business, procurement, finance, and legal and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals
  • Several years of professional customer-facing experience in business development and large complex deal negotiations with telecommunications companies/ISPs at a Group level with a successful track record across a C-level audience and positively able to influence the outcome.
  • Professional understanding of industry trends and the key players in the ISPs competitive landscape
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.


Preferred qualifications

  • Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organidational level
  • Ability to navigate across a business and the customer in a trusted advisor/consultative approach; and, establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organizations.
  • Experience responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, matching requirements to technical approach and solutions, developing solutions against requirements) experience
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Experience overseeing large or complex relationships that are considered business critical with significant bottom-line impact
  • An additional European language is preferred. (Spanish, Germany and or Italian)
