Senior Account Manager/Key Account Manager (Recruitment Advertising) - £30-40k + uncapped com - Sutton, SM1

We require a talented sales professional who wants to enhance their skill set and further their career in a globally renowned and respected media and data business.

As a Senior Account Manager/Key Account Manager for this organisation you will have the opportunity to win new business and develop client relationships both in a face-to-face capacity and over the phone in order to increase revenue. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an array of different customers in the agriculture sector from global agro-chemical companies to Universities and major food manufacturers and distributors.

Our consultative approach to delivering value for our customers enables the best candidate to manage their own territory and develop new business opportunities across the portfolio.

As a business we have a vast portfolio covering Display, Classified, e-Newsletters, online, recruitment, projects, events, data, analytics and software solutions. This role will involve selling recruitment and employer brand solutions.

Key Activities:

- Through value based selling understand and challenge customer requirements in order to help them achieve their business objectives
- To sell advertising solutions effectively to deliver revenue through telephone activity and face-to-face meetings where applicable
- Maximise new business spend on a range of different packages and products
- Win new business from competitors and other sources
- Identify growth areas and opportunities for our target advertisers
- Build relationships with key decision makers
- Monitor competitive media on a regular basis to establish client activity
- Create innovative ways to build business from existing and new customers .
- Support customer strategy and process
- Become a source of market information for clients
- Provide client and competitor information and intelligence to Sales Manager and other team members in order to help shape the growth strategy
- Liaise effectively with all internal departments (Customer Accounts/Production/Editorial/Marketing and any
other appropriate areas)

Key Skills/Experience Required:

- A proven track record of being able to sell effectively by understanding customer needs and providing solutions

- A proven track record in online advertising would be a benefit
- A keen appetite to proactively chase and win new business
- Able to demonstrate a high level of effective telephone sales activity
- Confidence and credibility in face to face situations
- Ability to quickly develop knowledge of a new market place
- Flexible and able to perform well under pressure
- Ability to build effective commercial relationships with new and existing clients
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Results focused
- Good time management
