Job Title: SEN Teacher (SEMH experience)

Location: Bristol

Start Date: ASAP (Remainder of the academic year, with possibility of permanent position)

Position Type: Full -Time Monday to Friday

Pay: To scale with SEN allowance on top

Are you a dedicated SEN Teacher with a passion for supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties? We are currently seeking a Qualified Teacher to join a reputable SEN school in Bristol that caters to primary-aged children. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The position is looking to start ASAP and will run for the remainder of the academic year, plus a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate the diverse needs of students with SEMH

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters emotional well-being and positive behaviour

Assess and monitor students' progress, providing timely feedback and implementing targeted interventions

Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including Teaching Assistants and Therapists, to provide a holistic approach to student support

Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers, ensuring open communication and partnership in the education process

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working with children with SEMH (essential)

Knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions for supporting students with SEMH

Strong behaviour management skills and ability to de-escalate challenging situations.

Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students who have emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
