BCA operates the largest used-vehicle marketplace in the UK and Europe operating in 10 countries, 60 different locations, selling 1.3 million vehicles per annum. BCA touches over 3.5m vehicles a year as it provides services along the vehicle life cycle from port to dealerships for new vehicles to refurbishment and logistics for used vehicles and the core re-marketing and auction operations.

The purpose of the Sales Administrator role is to provide a comprehensive and reliable administration service to the sales team in the auction centre.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all aspects of administration related to pre-sale and post-sale to enable the smooth operation of the sales department.

  • Producing pre & post sale customer reports
  • Prepare all paperwork required by the sales department to meet auction deadlines.

  • Perform all administration duties related to customer service level agreements to ensure that agreed standards are met.

  • Undertake general administration duties to support the sales team and the Sales Manager. This may include typing and filing on behalf of the team.

  • Action any issues, queries or complaints arising so that any problems are resolved, in a timely fashion and to all parties’ satisfaction as far as are reasonably practicable. Escalate any complex issues to the relevant manager.

  • This role has a high level of customer contact and it is key that these relationships are smooth running and efficient

Person Specification:

  • Good computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications. Able to use information technology and interpret data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business both face to face on over the telephone.Customer relationship building is a key skill for this role.

  • Good general standard of education needed - articulate, numerate and literate.

  • Solid customer relationships will need to be maintained in order to build sales and maintain an ongoing relationship with clients and customers.

Working Hours: 20 hours per week Monday to Friday
