Job Title: Risk Manager
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £600 - £650 per day (via umbrella company)


Tate Recruitment have partnered with a leading energy company who is shaping the future of the sector with sustainable solutions and innovation, to recruit a skilled Risk Manager for their Glasgow team.

The successful candidate will lead Risk Management activities, including developing Risk Registers, conducting Reviews, and providing Quantitative Risk Analysis expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Register: Lead the development and management of the project Risk Register, including Risk identification, Assessment, and development of mitigation strategies with the project team.
  • Risk Reviews: Lead regular Risk Reviews across all packages, identifying top risks, potential impacts (schedule and cost), and associated mitigation actions and options.
  • Risk Analysis: Lead Risk analysis across all packages, identify trends, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA): Lead the QRA process, including the production of QSRA and QCRA.
  • Risk Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly Risk Management reports for senior management and JV Board, providing clear, accurate, and timely Risk information to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Risk Practices: Ensure the application of SSE's Risk Management practices is effective and supports continuous improvement to enhance risk management processes at the Project and Business level.
  • Contingency Management: Support Finance with Contingency Management (Risk Reserve) drawdown process.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in leading Risk Management in complex projects
  • Knowledge of delivering Large Capital Projects, preferably in energy sectors
  • Expertise in Quantitative Risk Analysis tools
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
