Resourcing Manager

I am currently working on a Resourcing Manager role for a fantastic client of mine based in Hertford. You will be joining a great team in an upbeat, fast paced environment. The Resourcing Manager is a new role working closely with the Talent Operations Manager.


The Resourcing Manager will be managing all resourcing-related activities, you will equip the Team Leaders and Talent Acquisition Specialists with the most effective tools and strategies to approach the candidate market. Being the expert, you will be responsible for creating attraction strategies, devising talent initiates and maintaining talent pipelines. You will motivate and drive the team towards achieving KPIs and exceeding deadlines to demonstrate a best in class recruitment strategy. 

Main Duties and Areas of Responsibility

  • Motivating and empowering the Team Leaders to achieve set goals within their teams
  • Conducting regular 121s with the Team Leaders to discuss progress  
  • Effective utilisation of job boards, social media and head hunting
  • Training the team on the most successful resourcing methods
  • Understanding recruitment trends and continually recommending new ways to attract talent
  • Attending networking events and recruitment fayres
  • Maximising routes to markets
  • Measuring ROI of resourcing methods and using insight to make informed recommendations around job board investment
  • Advising and providing training on effective Boolean searching
  • Setting and then driving weekly and monthly targets
  • Motivating and incentivising the team
  • Build effective relationships with job boards contacts and agencies
  • Report on and monitor number of roles filled, time to offer candidates and devise recommendations on how to reduce this
  • Ensuring effective talent pooling
  • Being proactive in forecasting future talent needs
  • Working closely with the Talent Operations Manager to combine successful attraction strategies, with established processes to create the most effective end to end recruitment operation

  • Ability to deliver under pressure
  • Determined and ambitious
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Confident in approach and resilient
  • Experience of working in high volume and to tight deadlines
  • Extensive experience in recruitment
  • Understanding and experience of job boards and various attraction strategies
  • Strong knowledge of talent pooling and resourcing techniques
