Catch 22 are partnered with a national Facilities Management company working on an commercial contract in Swindon. They are looking for a Resident Plumber with relevant qualifications and experience to join their team.

Responsibilities of a Resident Plumber

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance to mechanical systems, heating plant, transmission pipe work and domestic
    water systems, in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, company safety procedures and contract
    specification.
  • Installation works, including domestic plumbing, heating radiators, pumps and associated equipment.
  • Respond to Reactive Works to include all domestic plumbing and heating pipework issues.
  • Complete works in a timely manner as per our service level agreement to meet the clients key performance
    indicator.
  • Source replacement parts and materials for installation work, obtaining quotes and preparing purchase order
    requests as per the company procurement system.
  • Correct and timely completion of paperwork and certificates.

The ideal candidate will;

  • Have a minimum of City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 Plumbing.
  • Demonstrate competence in all areas of your primary trade (with valid certification) essential qualifications.
  • Be able to read drawings & specifications and identify key control components.
  • Have the ability to work safely with heating plant, including knowledge of lock off procedures, interlocks and protection
    devices.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of pipe work systems, materials, pipe sizes, flange types and fittings suitable for use on
    various types of commercial heating and domestic plant.
  • A good understanding of the Pressure Equipment Regulations 1999 and Pressure System Safety
    Regulations 2000.
  • Have experience from a Building Services/Construction background with a proven track record in
    mechanical engineering support services.
  • Customer facing role so good communication skills are essential.
  • Due to the nature of the site a good standard of fitness is required for this role.

  • Salary of around £31,975 depending on experience.
  • Working hours between 08:00-17:00 Mon-Fri
