Resident Medical Officer
DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN PSYCHIATRY OR EVEN HAVE AN INTEREST IN PSYCHIATRY?
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) plays a crucial role within the Independent Healthcare Sector.
We work with Priory hospitals and provide all of their sites with RMOs. The Priory hospitals are mental health private hospitals however the RMO does not need to be a trained psychiatrist, they require doctors with psychiatry experience but with also a medicine background.
The RMO is the doctor onsite at all times, generally 9am-5am on the wards and then on call between 5pm and 9am. Because of the set up like this we usually have doctors working a rota of 1week on 1week off or 2weeks on and 2 weeks off.
All sites have accommodation and meals provided.
The duties that RMOs are expected to carry out are as follows:
• NG tubing
• Patient admissions
• Patient assessments
• Risk assessments
• Mental Health Assessments
The RMO role is a great way to kick start your career in the UK, we can start you off by shadowing the RMO also prior to starting your initial shift. I can offer contracts of 3 to 6 months work initially. There is also the possibility of extending this if all parties are happy.
Competitive pay rates.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who meets all the above and we are looking forward to receiving your CV’s to fill the position as soon as possible.
