Shift pattern: Tuesdays and Thursday 10am to 6pm

What are we looking for from you?
We are currently looking for an experienced reliable, efficient and customer-focused individual with good communication and organisational skills to join our clerical administration team based at Moorfields @ Bedford Hospital
We are passionate about delivering an excellent service to patients and you will play a crucial role in achieving this. You will be a primary point of contact for patients and medical/administrative staff for any issues relating to appointments so that lists are fully utilised and patients appropriately booked.
The post holder will be responsible in assisting with the day-to-day-smooth running of the Ophthalmology clinics, in order to provide an effective, efficient and customer focused service, which meets the changing needs of the Trusts' managers, employees and members of the public.
We are looking to appoint an individual to work primarily on our reception desk however may often be called upon to support other areas of the administration/booking team, based at Bedford Hospital Trust North Wing site
Candidates must be highly motivated, experienced and able to multi-task in an extremely busy reception/clinic area.
Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be expected to work with a diverse range of people. Good IT skills and attention to detail are also a must; we aim to deliver a high standard of service to our patients and medical team.
The department oversees a high volume workload, so you must be able to demonstrate experience of meeting deadlines and be able to manage under pressure.
We are looking for someone that has experience in working in a team, but also able to work alone if required. You need to be able to demonstrate; strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, be organized and possess strong IT skills. Be experienced and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including; Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
The successful applicant should possess excellent time management skills, be self-motivated and with a positive attitude, work as a team player, you will be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a customer focused approach.
