Anglian Water is more than just pipes and pumping stations. Did you know we are also responsible for some of the area's most popular recreational sites in England? Our Recreation Team manages over 3,700 hectares of parkland, woodland and reservoirs including Rutland Water. These areas provide valuable open space offering high quality leisure opportunities ranging from international triathlons, sailing regattas to nationally and internationally important fishing competitions. We want our visitors to experience and enjoy our great leisure facilities and to be as passionate and proud of our environment as we are.

What will you be doing?

We have a vacancy for a Ranger to join the team, undertaking the day-to-day operation of the Water Park and fishery. We are looking for a friendly, customer focused person to join the?team. You will contribute to maintaining the Water Park to ensure visitors have a safe and pleasurable visit and maintain the standards of the fishery.

It's a busy and varied role that will see you working outside doing a wide range of physical jobs, utilising practical skills to carry out routine maintenance and repairs in conjunction with carrying out health and safety inspections.

This is a customer facing position requiring good interpersonal skills to deliver excellent customer service. Weekend working is essential in this role and the flexibility to support the wider team as necessary.

You will work collaboratively with the team and closely with the head ranger to make the day great for all visitors to Rutland Water Park.

What do you need?

You'll need to have experience in the management and maintenance of country parks and/or fisheries. A good understanding of the importance of health and safety is essential, with practical skills and IT literacy advantageous. An interest/knowledge of angling is important to maintain Rutland Water's position as a premier fishery Europe.

This is a customer facing position; you'll therefore have excellent interpersonal skills and strive to deliver outstanding customer service. If successful in your application, you will have access to a company vehicle to use whilst on site, so a full driving licence is essential.
