RADA is looking for a highly motivated Financial Controller with robust technical skills to provide leadership to the finance team during an exciting period of growth.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations the Financial Controller is responsible for taking a lead in the financial performance management of the organisation and ensuring its future growth and stability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring accounting records of RADA and RADA in Business are complete and accurate;
  • Maintaining a strong control environment to protect RADA’s assets and monitoring compliance;
  • Preparing VAT & Gift Aid returns; leading on cash flow forecasting; ensuring timely and accurate monthly reporting
  • Leading on statutory reporting and consolidation of statutory accounts; leading on the preparation for annual audits and managing relevant third party relationships (tax, audit, etc);
  • Leading on process and systems improvements; continuously striving to improve the quality and timeliness of financial information.

The successful candidate is likely to come from an Arts/Charity or relevant commercial background. They will have experience of a small finance team of an organisation between £5m - £10m. You are looking for someone who has gained exposure to a full finance function, possibly being in sole charge of finance. You are looking for somebody who is willing to roll up their sleeves and who doesn’t shy away from the detail. They will be able to give strong examples of improving processes and supporting the implementation of systems.
