Quality Inspector, Lee on Solent - Salary dependent on experience

A Quality Inspector is required for a specialist precision engineering company based in the Lee on Solent area who supply into the Aerospace industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established company in modern facilities who product high quality, low quantity products.

The Job Profile:

The Quality Inspector will have the following job roles and responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints / drawings and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
  • Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
  • Use inspection / measuring equipment available and appropriate
  • Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures (CMM)
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Chief Inspector or Compliance Manager

The Requirements:

To be suitable for the position of Quality Inspector you ideally have the following experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Quality Inspector or relevant role
  • Familiarity with a wide range of inspection / measuring equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage particularly the Aerospace standard (AS9100 REV D, ISO 9000 etc.)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office

The Quality Inspector will be paid a salary in the region of £25,000 with room for negotiation for more experienced applicants.
