Quality Engineer - West Sussex - £35-40000pa

Our West Sussex based client is a market leader in the design and manufacture of high cost, low volume capital equipment.

Due to continued expansion they require a Quality Engineer to solve shop floor manufacturing issues, working with the clients staff & suppliers to identify the cause of the non-conformity and appropriate actions to prevent a recurrence.

You will work with the design and manufacturing teams to identify and implement changes to products to improve quality, process throughput and reduce costs, and when required, develop work packages and procedures to assist the transition between design and manufacture.

You will be able to assess new or changed components to ensure acceptable performance as part of the new production part approval process and develop the quality of bought-in components and manufactured components to reduce errors and costs. Ensures that all non-conformities are logged on the company's quality system, monitoring progress towards closing issues in a timely fashion.
