Our Manchester based client is currently on the lookout for a mid level Python Developer to work in their Manchester office on a hybrid basis. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, and debug software applications and systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand software requirements, ensuring the development of effective solutions
  • Develop and maintain software architecture and design documents
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards
  • Write and execute unit tests, as well as collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure software reliability
  • Create and maintain comprehensive software documentation, including user manuals, technical documentation, and API documentation
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing software applications, including troubleshooting and bug fixes

The following skills and experience will be beneficial:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering software applications
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C++
  • Experience with development tools, such as version control systems (e.g., Git), integrated development environments, and build tools
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and principles
